Portfolio Guardian in one paragraph

Portfolio Guardian is a free dead man’s switch in the WalletLens app. You name up to three people and choose an interval of 30, 90 or 180 days. Every time you open WalletLens the countdown resets. If it runs out, WalletLens first emails you an “I’m still here” link; only if you do not answer within 14 days do your heirs receive your personal message and a scannable QR of your holdings (assets, amounts and cost basis). Private keys, seed phrases and passwords are never stored or sent.

Questions people ask

What is a crypto dead man’s switch?

A service that acts when you stop checking in. Portfolio Guardian emails your heirs your message and a portfolio QR if you stop opening WalletLens for 30, 90 or 180 days.

What happens to my crypto when I die?

Your coins stay where they are, but your family can only claim them if they know they exist and where to look. Guardian gives them that map: every asset, amount and platform, so they can claim it through the proper legal route.

Will my heirs get my private keys?

No. Guardian never stores or sends keys, seed phrases or passwords. It tells your family what you hold and where; custody stays exactly where it is.

What if I lose my phone or go travelling?

Before any heir is contacted, we email you a warning with an “I’m still here” link that works from any device. Your heirs are notified only if you do not respond for 14 days.

Does it cover stocks, gold and cash too?

Yes. The snapshot covers everything in WalletLens: crypto, stocks, funds, gold, cash and property.

Is Portfolio Guardian free?

Yes. It is free, with no account beyond the email addresses you choose to add.

Portfolio Guardian is not a will and does not transfer ownership. Talk to a lawyer about your estate; Guardian makes sure your family knows what to ask for.
